It is important that you as a parent or child care provider have the opportunity to express any concerns or suggestions which you have regarding the operation of the Child Development program and that there be a way for the issue to be resolved. The following procedure will be followed for concerns, suggestions, or problems that are not of a serious nature. Other matters will be referred to the Consumer Grievance Procedure.
If you have concerns regarding a specific service within our program, please discuss this first with the staff member directly responsible for that service. If you continue to have concerns, or if your concern is regarding a staff member, you then need to speak with the Services Supervisor. If the concern cannot be resolved with the Services Supervisor, please make an appointment to discuss the matter with the DSS Director.
Any areas of concern or problems encountered that are expressed in returned follow up surveys are to be handled through discussion between the services supervisor and the appropriate staff. If clarification is needed, the services supervisor will contact the parent for additional information. If deemed necessary, the situation may be addressed at office staff meeting. Suggestions for improvement will be reviewed and a corrective plan implemented if needed.
