MISSION STATEMENT

The Transylvania County Child Development, a child care resource and referral agency has as its mission:

1. To provide parents with information and counseling about child care options/needs, financial assistance, and to support parental choice in placements.

2. To recruit and support start-up programs (centers, family child care homes, and individual child care arrangements).

3. To support quality of care and provide resources to existing child care programs through training and technical assistance, a resource library of  educational materials and equipment.

4. To disseminate information and advocate for high quality child care and family services through printed materials, speaking engagements, and community forums.

5. To provide employees with an environment of trust, integrity, respect, challenge, and reward that attracts and retains qualified individuals.
