Thank you for contacting Transylvania County Child Development. We are the Child Care Resource and Referral Agency of Transylvania County. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for children and to serve as a support system for families and child care providers by addressing child care issues in our community.

We understand that placing your child in the care of another person is one of the most difficult aspects of being a parent. Knowing where to begin and how to recognize quality child care makes this difficult time a little easier. This brochure will give you guidance as you search for child care, but always remember to trust your parental instincts. You know your child best.

Transylvania County Child Development will provide you with information regarding all legal child care options and can also assist you in your child care search.

Transylvania County Child Development does not license, endorse, recommend, or ensure the quality of any child care provider. We provide referrals, NOT recommendations for all legally operating child care programs.

Our services are available Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.
